RUNWAY's mission is to nurture potential startups and lead to deeper technology business collaboration with Samsung.
We are looking to work with early stage companies who develop technologies that can bring value to Samsung products and consumers. The aim is to create the base for a long term partnership with technology startups that have synergy with Samsung's different product lines.
During the 6 months the companies have an on-going interaction with the R&D and business units in Korea. In addition, we give a 50K$ (not for equity)
The fund does not involve any equity transfer to Samsung. There are no constraints on the fund usage and participating companies may use the fund as they see fit. The fund is split into 3 payments along the program and requires meeting the jointly defined milestones.
The company's IP and everything they develop in RUNWAY remain in the sole ownership of the company.
Entrepreneurs commit to a jointly agreed 2 steps milestones plan,
(After 3 Months, after 6 months).
The goal after 6 month is to reach a stage that will enable both parties to evaluate further collaboration options. In addition, the entrepreneurs commit to work from RUNWAY's offices (except activities that cannot be performed in RUNWAY premises) and attend the program’s progress meetings and enrichment education sessions.
